A large manufacturing plant can utilize one of our large accumulation bins or trucks on site at their facility, once full, the receptacle will be delivered to one of our facilities. A smaller operation can bring their scraps to a facility where it will later be broken down. We pay according to the market and are competitive with our pricing.
Once at the processing facility the various materials are sorted in order to maintain maximum value. Sorting is done with conveyors, tables, magnets, grinders, hand torches and spectrometers. During this process, metallurgical composition may be utilized in order to maintain the highest level of quality and purity.
After being sorted, the remaining pieces are formed into bales that meet specific customer requests or other guidelines. High density bales are formed with high pressure hydraulic machines in order to maintain uniformity and accessibility. Lower density bales are made with lower hydraulic pressure and provide options for customers with different needs. The metallurgical content as well as briquettes can be adjusted for each customer and achieved with metal management.
Large scraps and items such as radiators are shredded and crushed. Once smaller, the pieces get sorted into ferrous, non-ferrous, and non metallic pieces. The usable pieces are made to fill orders and the remaining pieces are sent to a third party landfill that is qualified to dispose of it.
