Oxygen which is also the commonest component of air has the most utilities in our society. Oxygen supports life of both plants and animals. Carbon dioxide on the other hand is very important in preservation of substances and extinguishing of both controlled and wild fires too. Rare gases such as argon and neon are also popular in display systems.
