Companies Need Good Managers To Succeed

By Maya Cole

A good manger is arguably the driving force behind every company. They are able to take the company's resources and its workforce to turn their enterprise into a very profitable organisation.

Corporate Culture Principles

Any company that endorses a Positive Corporate Culture is laying the ground work for a work environment that is conducive to tremendous output. When a work environment is non-threatening to workers and they actually feel comfortable to produce, they will become hard workers for the company, when the manager shows these qualities.

Example

Mangers wield a lot of influence of how their workers behaviour towards the company and each other. And when managers establish the right work environment, employees respond by showing respect for their jobs by producing at exceptional levels.

Enthusiam

When you use effective management techniques your staff responds positively to your approach. And the result is you create a dedicated work-force that increases the company's value by producing more and by producing consistently.

Workers

The success of managers hinges on their ability to communicate properly to their workers what they want the workers to do. If the message is accepted by the workers, then the manger would have positively influenced the employees to do his bidding. However, if the workers are stubborn, then the possibility of low production is very real. This means loss of revenue for the company.

Relationships

A good manager is good at maintaining relationships because he knows that more can be accomplished when people are united. Being the bridge builder that he is, a good manager always seeks to include everyone in the production process.

Strength in Adversity

Resilience is the ability to function in the face of adversity and still come out on top. Despite the many factors that conspired to bring you down. A well trained manager shows resilience and temperance during stressful times without personally being affected.

Good Leaders

A good leader knows how to motivate his staff to perform at their peak by using inspiring words, giving credit where credit is due. This positive attitude is a true hallmark of a good leader.

Commitment

Getting people to commit themselves to the task you give them is a great achievement because as a manager it means that your people trust your decision making abilities. This asset is a definite plus to any organization.

Health and Safety Issues

Managers need to have a good basic knowledge of health and safety specific to their sector. They need to be able to carry out risk assessments or delegate the tasks to the appropriate people.

IOSH

Mangers can validate their knowledge of health and safety issues by taking an Occupational Safety and Health course. To better run their teams in times of an emergency.

Safe Environment

Good mangers understand that prevention is the best safety practice. And by setting up systems to avoid and prevent possible harmful situations. Managers keep their employees work environment safe.
